Item Description
This rare 1942 ring was offered by Kix Cereal as a bounce-back offer with Lone Ranger military rings in April, 1942. General Mills recorded only 85 requests. Following the General Mills offer, the ring was also offered very briefly by Kellogg’s, this time named as a ‘gold ore’ ring. The brass ring has adjustable bands. The ring sides have an area with small irregular marks, representing the surface of a meteor. The ring top has a metal rim with a clear slightly domed celluloid cover over small rock pebbles. This example has brilliant NM golden brass luster about 98% complete. A truly spectacular example. This is one of only four examples we've offered in five decades. In the Hake Pop Culture Guide at $600-Good; $1,450-Fine; $3,350-N. Mint.
