Item Description
Beautifully painted and glazed 7.5" tall ceramic figurine w/mark on underside for this Italian company as well as "090252 - Hand" designation. Zaccagnini signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 which lasted for about 10 years. This particular piece is c. 1953, from the time of Disney's animated "Peter Pan" feature film's original release. Turk was one of the secondary pirate characters and a member of Captain Hook's crew. Nicely detailed w/a pile of rope behind Turk's feet, a large cutlass sword held in hand. Tiny pinpoint flake to tip of shoe and edge of sword, but these do not detract from overall NM appearance. Extremely rare and the first from the Zaccagnini Peter Pan series we've offered in our 47 years. This series is among the best and rarest of all Zaccagnini series. See following item #2332.
