Three items in this lot carry the "Headquarters" address as "All-American Comics/225 Lafayette Street New York 12, N.Y." See the following similar lot although with a Lexington Avenue address. This lot consists of original mailing envelope 4x9.5" with 1945 postmark. On reverse one side flap was pulled open so contents could be removed. This gives the appearance the envelope is still sealed although noticeably tanned, mostly on the reverse. The letter is 7.25x8.75" light blue paper. This mentions the kit includes a patch rather than a pin "Because During The Duration Of The War We Do Not Want To Use Metal Which Is So Vitally Needed For Munitions And Tanks." The membership certificate is 7.5x9" and has not been filled in. Both sheets have the slightest trace of aging with original folds. The rarest piece here is the 2.25" beautiful woven fabric patch with a satin-like finish. This reads "American Observation Corps/Hop Harrigan Says: Keep 'Em Flying" with "AOC" wing designation at center. The patch is Mint.
