The Piece Of Disney Movie Pin Series made a quiet debut into the world of collectible pins in Jan., 2011. Once collectors realized the uniqueness that this pin series brought, it quickly gained steam and by the fourth release, collectors were lining up at the Disney Parks for each subsequent release. The brilliance behind this series combines the magic of Disney films and the art of pin design by framing an actual film cel of the featured movie w/an equally artful pin element. While each movie has a limited edition of 2,000, no two pins are alike as each encased cel is a one-of-a-kind. This creates numerous channels for a collector to pursue; seeking out desired character combinations and/or scenes. This memorable series ran for only two years, bringing the grand total to 24 pins. Offered here is a PinPics #81950, a 2.25x2.5" tall enameled metal pin graded and encapsulated by PinPics containing film cel showing Snow White lifting Doc's hat and kissing the top of his head. Only two copies featuring this Doc direct kiss scene are known to exist so it's safe to say you may never see it again for sale. Of six Dwarfs Snow White kisses on the head as they go off to work, only 15-20 exist w/a direct kiss. This cel is framed by pin elements w/a brown frame w/apple (w/a bite out of it) at the top w/full body image of Snow White at right. The area featuring Snow White is a pin on pin.
