Item Description
3.25x4" glass slide (consisting of two glass slides, one painted, one as a cover) w/taped edges. 1890s and used in a lantern during live theater shows. Slide has nice 2.5" tall image of The Yellow Kid, w/his shirt filled w/text. Shirt reads "I Say! Ise Goin Ter Take Liz Ter De Teatre Tonite Ter See De Grate Sawtelle Show - Its De Hotest Thin Dat Ever Hapend See!" His shirt has slight yellow tinting. Cover slide has large 4" crack, but the painted slide portion remains complete and structurally sound. VG overall. Rare.
