Item Description
3.25x4" cardboard mount (marked "Photo Repro Co., Inc." of Long Island City, NY.) holding original release glass slide for the 1925 silent film released by Paramount and starring Rudolph Valentino and Nita Naldi. Valentino plays an Italian noble, a charming libertine, whose weakness is women – the "cobras" referred to in the film's title. Title slide features large image of a hooded cobra (who has the face of a woman) rearing over an image of Valentino recoiling. Cardboard mount has some scattered age spotting and staple rusting but slide itself is Exc. All promotional material for this silent film is rare and desirable.
