Item Description
This is an exceptional example of this classic timepiece with beautifully illustrated box that is extremely rare. From 1934. Clock is 4.5" tall with metal case. Box is 5x5x3" deep. Lid has die-cut design, 3 side panels feature images of the 3 different pigs with their houses. Box is complete with pair of inserts, one reading "Whose Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf" with printed issue price of $1.50. This insert has .25" tear at top center. Die-cut lid is loose. Few light edge creases and moderate scattered dust soiling. Box remains tight with rich color. Fine. The original direction paper has light wear with bend as originally boxed. The animated clock has separate wolf head that nods as seconds tick, his hands point at the numerals. Around the wolf are images of the three pigs plus text "Whose Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?" Running but not guaranteed to keep time. This clock is old store stock and appears as fresh as the day it was produced. Extreme left/right side edges of the base have a couple of tiny paint nicks only noticeable when viewed closely, o/w essentially Mint as issued. The only boxed example we've ever offered.
