Item Description
27.5x46" from a series of "Tru-Tone Rugs & Carpets" by Alexander Smith & Sons, 1930s. This has two original Alexander Smith fabric tags still attached on back, including one w/small Mickey Mouse image, noted as "Patt. 57." Tag is aged and has a few creases but is o/w complete and Fine. Rug has fabric nap and features great scene of Cowboy Mickey on horseback, chasing bandit who looks very much like Black Pete. Overall lt. aging but retains deep, rich color. Exc. and unheard of in this high grade, old store stock-like condition. Among the nicest examples we've seen of any of these rugs in our 48 years. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
