5-3/8" tall celluloid toy depicts Mickey and Minnie Mouse embracing in dance. Raised "Made In Japan" text on Mickey's back w/raised "© Walter E. Disney" on his bottom, which also has an aged tax stamp. 1930s. Both Mickey and Minnie's heads are separate pieces and movable. Mickey is depicted much taller than Minnie, who wears a long gown. Toy has winding shaft between Mickey's legs and comes w/key. Works and moves about, changing direction every so often. Mickey has slight indent on back of head, production flaw on one foot as produced and his face has a few tiny indents as produced, but o/w toy is VF. We know of similar designed toy featuring Donald Duck w/Minnie, Donald Duck w/Elmer Elephant and Elmer Elephant w/Minnie, but this is by far the most desirable combination of characters for this classic celluloid toy. All are rare, and this is the only example we've offered in our 48 years.
