Item Description
6x7x7.5” tall. Marked on bottom “Lenox/Patent Applied For/Design Of Edward Penfield/The Toby Potteries New York.” Stylized “TP” hallmark in center. Beautifully designed with smiling Teddy and prominent mustache, teeth, glasses wearing safari uniform with hat, scarf. Holds rifle in one hand and book marked “Africa” in other. Belt buckle reads “T.R.” Handle is designed like large elephant head with trunk attached to lower portion on Teddy’s jacket. Ears are draped over his shoulders. A beautiful design both very scarce and very popular with TR collectors. Mint condition. Julie Powell Collection.
