Item Description
16.5" tall cloth-stuffed doll w/painted, starched linen face and felt hat. Rest of outfit is cloth w/ribbon neck tie. Columbia Toy Products of Kansas City, MO. ©King Features Syndicate Inc. c. 1940s. Complete original outfit. Comes w/original 2-1/8x3-1/8" booklet tag that reads "This Is An Original! Comic Strip Doll...That All America Loves." Inside has list of other dolls including Popeye, Olive Oyl and Swee'Pea among others. Tag is mostly split at center and held together/attached to doll w/safety pin. VG. Wimpy's nose shows some wear and has lost its shape somewhat. Scattered dust soiling to face and aging to hat, which is also attached w/large safety pin. VG/Fine.
