Item Description
Largest size of two sizes of toy drums made by J. Chein & Co. ©1939 Paramount Pictures. Drum measures 5" deep and is 13" dia. (smaller drum had 6.25" dia.) Tin litho band w/original paper/cloth drum heads. Band features characters w/their names below, including - Gulliver, Gabby's horses, Gabby, Twinkletoes, Snitch, Little King. Drum heads have obvious age spotting and dust soiling, one side has two .25" punctures. Scattered lt. wear to tin litho. Fine overall. From the collection of Chip Kidd, renowned author, graphic designer and pop culture enthusiast extraordinaire.
