8.5x11" handbill issued by Christopher Street Liberation Day Committee to promote a "Mass March Up Sixth Avenue To Sheep Meadow, Central Park." March was June 27, 1971, one day before the second anniversary of the Stonewall Inn/Christopher Street uprisings that occurred June 28, 1969. Reverse has four text paragraphs with the second reading: "As No Other Event In The Brief History Of The Gay Liberation Movement, Christopher Street Liberation Day Rekindled The Spirit Of Coming Out Into The Open And Establishing Homosexuality As A Valid Way Of Loving. We March Again This Year To Reaffirm Our Pride In Ourselves And Our Solidarity With Our Gay Sisters And Brothers." Pair of 1/16" tan dots on lower front. NM.
