Item Description
27.5x43.75" poster issued in 1946 by the Hercules Powder Company, "Manufacturer Of Chemical Materials For Industry." Poster features great image of soldier and sailor in overalls, walking arm in arm along w/worker as they and rest of workers leave factory. N.C. Wyeth artist name at bottom right. A nice take on Archibald MacNeal Willard's "The Spirit Of '76" painting, also known as "Yankee Doodle." Folded as issued, poster has lt. even aging w/some minor margin wear. Exc. Scarce post-war poster.
