Item Description
6.5" tall tin litho "Flying Horses" merry-go-round features crank-operated mechanism at center and works nicely, propelling the three attached two-dimensional tin litho horses w/riders. Carousel top is marked "Made In U.S.A" and has Buffalo Toys maker's mark. 1920s. Scattered wear to base rim and at center where spiral push rod rubbed. Top is lightly aged. Fine. 5.5" tall merry-go-round was made in America in the 1940s-1950s and features three die-cut tin litho horses. When crank on side is turned, horses revolve, move up and down and musical notes are issued from holes produced at top of carousel. This area shows moderate aging and color rubs and carousel rims have some scattered areas of oxidation. VG/Fine.
