All are 7x9.75”. Both 1939 pulps have 130 pages. Jan. 15 has Rozen cover w/Shadow at helm of lifeboat leaving flaming sinking ship. Interior artists include Edd Cartier and early DC comic book artist Creig Flessel. Aug. 1 has Gladney cover w/Shadow firing pistol and “Isle of Gold” map in background. Contents include nice full page ad for “Doc Savage” pulp and Cartier art. Covers have lt. edge wear. Fine. Pages have lt. aging, but are supple and VF. Both 1940 pulps have 114 pages. Covers are by Gladney. Feb. 1 issue has Shadow throwing gas canister as gangsters fire pistols. Contents include Cartier art. July 15 issue has Shadow scaling wall while firing pistol. Contents include art by Creig Flessel and Earl Mayan. Both have lt. cover dust soil. Feb. issue has 1” diagonal piece off upper left back cover ad. Covers VG, pages Fine. Nice graphics.
