c. 1950s. Not to be confused w/the standard Ideal doll, this is the rare talking variety complete w/ “Howdy Doody” bandana and “Ideal I Can Talk” attached ribbon. 20.5” tall w/composition head and stuffed fabric body w/vinyl belt. Head moves and eyes open when held upright. Doll works when back crank is wound and string pulled. Includes him saying “It’s Howdy Doody Time”. Crotch area neatly re-sewn, trace of lt. wear and aging. Fine. A classic.
