The show first debuted on Radio in 1932. It was just one of a slew of kid’s adventure shows that were popular. A second version showed up in 1949. That is the version that this book from Magazine Enterprises/AC Comics is based on. The concept and characters were so popular that there was even a short-lived TV show built around them. The comic book lasted 20 issues and was canceled in 1953. This issue is especially notable for the strong cover art of Bob Powell. He also contributes interior art. The pages are off-white to white. This unrestored book is CGC-certified 9.6 (NM+). According to the CGC Census this is the highest-graded copy they have seen. It is also recognized as being part of the legendary Mile High Pedigree.
