Item Description
This coin was released in 1996 and features two different designers. The obverse was designed by Patricia L. Verani and shows different athletes with one athlete bearing the U.S. Flag entering Olympic Stadium. The reverse was designed by William Krawczewicz and features the mark of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games encompassed by representations of the laurel wreath that was awarded to Greek athletes during the Olympic Games. The uncirculated strike of this coin has a mintage 75% less than the Proof strike, which makes higher grade versions of this Mint State coin quite rare. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
