Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 8.5" long tin litho toy w/built-in key on underside. Car is marked in front of windshield "Uncle Wiggily - Trademark ©1935 Howard R. Garis." Uncle Wiggily depicted w/basket full of Easter Eggs. Egg images also appear on trunk and hood. Sides of car feature animals drawn in the style of the Uncle Wiggily books. Embossed "Marx" logo on grill. Toy works and travels around in erratic fashion as Uncle Wiggily's head turns about and every now and then car rears up and back down again. Toy has even moderate aging w/slight all over fade and wheels show wear from use. Axles have some surface rusting. Rest of toy has some small scattered hairline scratches/nicks. Fine overall. Beautifully lithographed toy. Box shows obvious wear w/creases and tears at corners. Sides of box have scattered punctures from toy, back panel having 1" puncture. Good/VG.
