Item Description
17x21.25" die-cut cardboard stepped display for 4x5" miniature 36-page comics published c. 1942-1943. As noted by as-issued paste-over, books were sold two for 5¢ and were printed in black, white and red. Some titles included "Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., Commando Yank, Golden Arrow, Minute Man, Mr. Scarlet And Pinky, "Ibis The Invincible", and "Bulletman The Flying Detective." Additional paste-over covers text under "Comics" text at top. This is as issued. Sign text at top reads "World's Biggest Comic Book Value! 'Mighty Midget' Pocket Size Books - Comics - 2 for 5¢" and each folding pocket has genres including, "Daredevil/Exciting, Fun/Mystery, War/Victory, Commandos/Amazing, Adventure/Thrills" and "Action/Chills." display has replaced double easel back and scattered handling wear. All over aging. Fine overall. Rare and a must have to display your Mighty Midget Comics.
