7x13.5x3.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains unused set of four hand puppets, each 9.5" tall w/vinyl heads and silk-screened fabric bodies. 1950s. Box is designed to be used as puppet stage and has die-cut "curtains" on front which open. Cellophane window behind this remains, though loose. Instructions printed on side panel of lid. Includes images of children w/generic animal puppets, front bottom edge of lid has text reading "Walt Disney's Disneyland Favorites." Box shows wear w/one lid corner split and 2" heavy crease to "curtain." Fine. Puppets include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Pluto. Each had squeaker mechanism, Minnie's no longer works and Donald's is missing. Rest still squeak. Puppets remain in place in cardboard insert w/slots. Set remains unused and NM. Scarce as boxed.
