Auction #211 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1196 in auction 211
Item Description
1.75" with W&H paper used only 1901-1912. Back paper has one 1/16" hole. The celluloid has a few scattered raised bumps noticeable to the touch but no stain and no cracks as one other example did that realized over $300.00 in Auction #203. Text reads "When In Doubt Telephone And Find Out-Pioneer." This is only the third example we've seen of this design and it differs slightly from the version pictured in Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons. The book example has a lady with black hair and black telephone receiver at her ear whereas on this both her hair and the receiver are brown along with small differences in her dress. Rare. Exc, displaying Mint.
