Item Description
Large 24x30" frame w/plexiglas cover. Issued in recognition of sales of Guns N Rose's third and fourth albums which were both released Sept. 17, 1991 in conjunction w/the "Use Your Illusion Tour." The two are thus sometimes considered a double album - w/both consisting of two vinyl records each. "Use Your Illusion I" debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts, selling 685,000 copies in its first week, behind the first week sales of "Use Your Illusion II" w/770,000 units sold. Each have been certified Seven-Times Platinum by the RIAA. The first album was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1992. Elaborate and very attractive design incorporates double silver record design w/large "Guns N Roses" logo on plexiglas. Bottom of display has three small replicas of each album, w/"1 Million, 2 Million" and "3 Million" engraved plaques underneath. Metal plaque w/RIAA hologram reads "Presented To John Scher To Commemorate The Sale Of More Than 3,000,000 Copies Each Of The Geffen Records Album, Cassette And Compact Discs 'Use Your Illusion 1' And 'Use Your Illusion II'." Frame has some scattered wear but display is NM. Wonderful presentation piece and ready for display. From the collection of John Scher, legendary concert promoter, producer and manager and comes with COA signed by him.
