Item numbers 1 through 1196 in auction 211
Item Description
1.25" real photo button issued following his New York to Ireland flight, for which permission had been denied, and which he made anyway claiming cloud cover and a misreading of his compass caused him to fly the "Wrong Way" which became his nickname. Actually, his return to New York was greeted by a celebration with more people attending the Broadway ticker-tape parade than had honored Lindbergh. Exc. Displays Mint.
