Item Description
Sizes are 11/16" to 1" for the larger two buttons. Group begins with one of the earliest auto buttons made. It reads "American Locomotive Motor Car/License Berlit." Some of the bright gold background has lost luster but these are mostly dot-like areas and there is no stain. Complete with back paper. Next is a 1" for "Paige/The Most Beautiful Car In America." Spring pin holds celluloid ribbon accent with tiny nick at upper edge of the blue ribbon but the button remains NM displaying Mint. Next is for "The Lambert/Shore & Beach." Complete with St. Louis Button Co. back paper. Couple of faint rim dots barely showing. Next is an enamel piece with a brass fixed loop on the reverse. Front shows car and reads "Build Like A Watch/Elgin." First we've seen and Exc. Last is from the "Thomas Mfg. Co. Dayton, O." and promotes the "Trip To Frisco Contest." Shows United States with tiny flags located at Dayton in the East and "Frisco" in the West with tiny text "Contest Ends June 17, 1915." Spotting on the W&H paper but cello is NM displaying Mint. Five quite scarce pieces.
