Item Description
First is 1.75" tall showing woman golfer in hat and long skirt in the middle of a swing. Reverse has small metal plate reading "MFA/Sterling/925." A quality piece probably c.1920. Next is 1-7/8" long figural golf club with a circular piece on the shaft which has the initials "WGA" for Western Golf Association while above this are larger initials "WC" which we believe stands for Women's Committee. The WGA was formed in the 1890s because the mid-West (then the West) clubs felt they weren't being properly represented by the United States Golf Association, then based in New York. This piece appears to be c.1930s or perhaps earlier. Both are Exc. and display Mint.
