11.25x16” extensively illustrated hardcover has 416 numbered pages plus additional April 26 issue of “Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Newspaper” w/22 pages and eight page supplement Battle scenes include Monitor and Merrimac, Kentucky, Indiana, Mississippi, Virginia including Richmond and Manassas. Covers are worn. First two pages of first issue are missing, page 400 has cartoon clipped, a few tears here and there. War maps in “Leslie” issue are misprinted as published. Contents overall VG/Fine. Interesting historical account of the Civil War as it was being reported.
