10.25x13.5" published by Keppler & Schwarzmann New York. Includes Volume 24 #599 Aug. 29, 1888 through #624 February 20, 1889. 434 pages along with index of articles and cartoons. Each is a weekly issue w/16 pages of choice litho full color front and back covers and centerfold along w/several black and white cartoons and humorous commentary. Artists include Frederick Opper, Joseph Keppler, C.J. Taylor, Griffin, Ehrhart. Wonderful images include Uncle Sam and numerous political figures of the day. Topics include evils of modern day press, money in politics, newly elected President Harrison posing for portrait. Covers have edge wear, spine has split at top. First issue is heavily creased w/some loose pages. Several other pages have creasing and some tears. Scattered moisture marks and some dust soil here and there. Despite problems, most issues are Good/VG. Interesting and historic insight covering some topics still relevant today.
