Item Description
3x3.5" original card has only a few tiny wear traces. Pinned as issued to the card is a small pin dated "39" leading by a link chain to a 1-1/8" tall beautifully designed enamel on brass pin featuring a mermaid rising up from the sea with her naked breasts and long hair quite evident. Caption on the enamel pin reads "The Dugongs (Mermaids)." A Dugong is actually a large marine animal similar to a manatee. Most likely this carded badge was a souvenir from the immensely popular "Aquacade." The pin is Mint. Rare.
