Medal is 2" in diameter and nearly 3/16" thick marked on the side edge with maker name "Whitehead-Hoag" and tiny stamped word "Sterling." One side shows the symbolic Trylon And Perisphere while the other side shows a shirtless artist at work holding pallet and brushes in his hands while he gazes upon a small design of the Trylon And Perisphere with accent rays above. Surrounding text "National Poster Competition" with blank panel beneath the words "Awarded To."
