Item Description
Buttons are each 1.25" all with back papers although one is a blank. The aluminum badge is slightly taller. First has catchy slogan and was perhaps part of the Dewey Presidential movement reading "Remember The Maine/Dewey?/Well We Guess We Do." Scattered but light age dots towards the bottom. Second with metallic color accents pictures "U.S. Battleship Maine." Reverse has his portrait and name. Bar is broken off the pin but otherwise just a trace of wear on the aluminum pieces. Third is rare button picturing him and ship with text "He Remembered The Maine." Reverse has fixed horizontal bar pin. First we've seen. Second also a rarity reads "Admiral Dewey/Maine." The red colors on the flags are somewhat light but otherwise totally clean as is the previous item. Also see rare large McKinley/Dewey Peace Jubilee button #207 and rare local candidate in war uniform button #507.
