Item Description
1-5/8" tall beautifully made enamel on brass badge with horizontal bar pin on the back. Scattered tarnished dots on the back but front is NM displaying Mint. During WWI King George insisted that telephone operators who stayed working during Zeppelin air raids should be honored by this badge. Initials at center "LTS" stand for London Telephone Service and the Latin phrase translates to "Lead By Love Of Country." Rare.
