Heavy and beautifully designed ring with interior surfaces marked "Josten 10K" along with three engraved initials "E.F.S." Ring features a beautiful ruby red stone smooth on the top and faceted on the underside. One side of the ring shows eagle above flying WWII era airplane with a small panel between the two bearing the numerals "43-3" probably indicating a graduation date from bombardier school. Opposite side of ring again has an eagle with a bomb design positioned vertically below. Surrounding the stone is the text "Bombardier/U S A A F." This branch of the military went by that name from June 20, 1941-September 18, 1947. Designs on the ring sides have just the most minor smoothing of a few details. Gorgeous and high quality.
