Item Description
1-5/16" tall enamel on silvered brass with vertical pin on reverse and name of maker W&H. Founded 1830 this yard became the pre-eminant iron ship builder of the late 19th century. This piece is c.early 1940s when it was reopened by the U.S. Navy. Additional text on the badge is "KSA 591." Pinpoint dots of silver luster off but barely showing except in reflected light. VF.
