Item Description
The Don McNeill radio program The Breakfast Club was the home to millions of listeners who joined him five days a week during breakfast. He created and hosted the variety hour program for 24 years and left a mark on the history of radio. The program was broadcast from Chicago Illinois and was a combination of unrehearsed contributions submitted by listeners, songs, anecdotes, occasional guest interviews, and more. The show ran from 1933 to 1968 and attracted a wide audience due to the programs content. The show featured numerous guests over the years including Jim and Marian Jordan who later became known as Fibber McGee and Molly, Bob Hope, Ginger Rogers, Gary Cooper, James Stewart and others.
