See Lot #2237 and 2238 for information regarding additional estate items. Lot of 16 presentation awards including framed plaques, original art, and various presentation items. Items have general surface wear with the overall condition ranging from FN to VF condition with each article being a unique one of a kind item. San Antonio Airforce presentation plaque to McNeill for appreciation dated August 12, 1967. 8x5” award from Alexandria Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. Two piece stone model of the Kensington Runestone, which was on exhibit in at Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Reverse of award has original printed paper with history of stone. 14x11” engraved plaque from National Association of Broadcasters. Award salutes McNeill for outstanding achievement in maintaining Radio Broadcasting as a medium and dated May 1963. 13.5x8” presentation plaque for the Spring Hill dedication on April 30th of the Mackle built community. Plaque included gold scissors from ribbon cutting ceremony. 10.5x13” presentation certificate from Illinois Council For Mentally Retarded Children. Honoring McNeill for his interest, concern, and service and dated March 3, 1963. 9x11.5” framed certificate of membership for Alpha Sigma Tau honor society dated at Marquette University May 6, 1928. 15x12” copper and wood 4-H citation for service dated June 1958. 15.5x12.5” sheet music titled “My Cathedral” framed and matted. Sheet music is written by Don McNeill and Walter Blaufuss and features an image of the Wells Somerset Cathedral in England. 13.5x15.75” Sheboygan High School diploma dated June 18, 1925 noting the Don McNeill has completed college prep courses. 15x19” framed certificate dated January 15, 1957 from the Television Daily, Radio Daily, All-American Awards. The certificate was presented to The Breakfast Club for being the variety show of the year. 19x18.5” original cartoon art specialty item presented to Don McNeill by Reamer Keller. Art features illustration of Keller in his car driving listening to the The Breakfast Club program when his radio suddenly stopped working during the middle of one of McNeill’s jokes. Inscription reads “Dear Don, What in Heaven’s Name did the lady find in the apple pie?? My radio faded right on your punch line!! Am enclosing airmail stamp for you to rush reply. Yours hanging by a thread, Reamer Keller. P.S. My radio isn’t a Philco, Darn it!” 24x18.5” framed large watercolor portrait of McNeill by Earl Gross. 12.5x15.25” framed certificate of Festival of Leadership Award for Outstanding Leaders dated 1961 from the Society of Little Flowers Chicago Illinois. 16x19.75” large color photo featuring Don McNeill at the award ceremony holding plaque from the Spring Hill dedication April 30, 1967. 14.25x17.5” framed bw photo of Don McNeill’s cabin cruiser boat. 15x11” engraved wooded plaque with copper scroll and radio microphone from the Illinois Broadcasters Association dated 1966. Award was given for excellence of outstanding contribution to family entertainment.
