Item numbers 1197 through 2870 in auction 211
Item Description
Sizes are 7/8" to 1.75". First is from "Independence Day" 1912 celebration in "Sea Isle City, N.J." Back paper by Philadelphia maker Lehmberg. Extreme left edge of ribbon accent has a little stress line but the button itself remains Mint. Next three all relate to Asbury Park. First reads "James A. Bradley/Founder Of Asbury Park, N.J." This was originally a lapel stud with the stud off the back and with a vertical pin held by a line of solder .5" long. In addition left front cello has hairline crack along the back edge of his head and tiny bit of gray tone to the left of his face. Still with nice gloss and first we've seen. Second, probably from same event, reads "Asbury Park Silver Anniversary 1871-1896." This has dusty W&H paper but the celluloid remains Exc. Third at 1.75" shows illustration of many bathers in knee length swimming outfits scattered along the beach front. This one is c.1910 and NM displaying Mint. See Asbury Park 1939 Expo item #750.
