Item Description
2.5" with metal back and bar pin. Curl names maker Western Badge/L.A. Anaheim. Around 1971 Frank Zappa sent what he called the Mothers Of Invention customized press kit providing "Answers To The Questions That Have Plagued You Day And Night For The Past Two Years Of Our Contractual Association." He addressed his communication to "All Warner/Reprise Avant-Garde Executives Who Might Have Something To Do With The Merchandising Of Mothers Of Invention Product." In the communication he stated "I Would Like To Bring To Your Attention At This Time One Of The Basic Tenets Of Our Group Philosophy: It Is, In Spite Of All Evidence To The Contrary, Theoretically Possible To Be 'Heavy' And Still Have A Sense Of Humor." That text appears on this button as "It Is Possible To Be Heavy.../New Hope!/And Still Have A Sense Of Humor/...For Further Information Contact Mothers Of Invention." Numerous but light surface marks show only in reflected light with exception of tiny pinpoint nick at far right barely showing. Displays NM. Rare.
