Item Description
1-3/16" tall with a moveable ring at the top so the piece could be worn on a chain. The Hake Pop Culture guide in 2008 reported less than 10 of these known and that still holds with this one being one of those ten. The piece was awarded by Doc Savage Magazine in the mid-1930s. Reverse is blank with front having high relief portrait of him beneath the words "Doc Savage Award" and with scroll designs on the lower portion reading "Service/Loyalty/Integrity." Beautiful NM luster and displaying very close to Mint. The Hake guide 2008 value in NM is $4,500.00. We offered one of these decades ago but have not seen this piece since our computer records began with Auction #153.
