Item Description
7.5" long original mailer has return address from sponsoring company H.J. Heinz, Pittsburgh. Turner was a real life aviation hero. Heinz sponsored his radio program in 1934. First item is the 7" long paper member's certificate with inked name of member and inked date May 3, 1935 along with printed signature of Turner. In addition there is a complete set of membership cards and pins. Each card has its own individual serial number and is 4" long. Each pin is 1.5" long. Group includes bronze wings with Lieutenant card. Next are silver luster wings on Captain card. Last is high ranking gold wings on Major card. Inked name on card matches the certificate and each date line has been filled in with three different dates in May, 1935. Light age on the envelope but the rest are NM to Mint. A rare set.
