Item Description
4" long cardboard mailer has wear on the end panels but remains in good structural condition. This was one of several different sets that could be ordered in the early 1950s. Each embossed metal emblem has a pair of small holes so they could be fastened to a wagon or bicycle. While there are ten pieces here, as was typical for a full set, this group is a combination of United States models as well as European models. Sizes are 3.25" diameter to 3-3/8" diameter. The US cars consist of Studebaker, Chrysler, and Plymouth with a duplicate. Both of the Plymouth examples have lost color from the central areas mostly the silver flashing. The Chrysler also shows some loss of the gold luster mostly from the outer edge. The following six European pieces are Exc. to Mint. These consist of Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Fiat, Opel, Renault, and Riley.
