Item numbers 1 through 1196 in auction 211
Item Description
17x22" paper poster has been mounted to stiff cardboard. From a 1942 series of air traffic and safety posters issued by the Directorate of Air Traffic and Safety and Directorate of Safety Education. Design features pilot flying w/his eyes closed towards three planes flying in formation, whose pilots looked concerned/angry. Text reads "They Cheer When You Pay No Attention To Pattern" and features additional cartoon image of Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo smiling from cloud. Poster was originally folded into quarters, but as mounted, folds are not that noticeable. Poster has slight aging and warp due to board but would look Exc. if framed.
