The Disney Gallery exclusive 10x12x4" deep wooden chest styled like a treasure chest contains limited edition lithograph set of seven 8x10" hand-numbered lithographs on high quality paper, each w/embossed "Pirates Of The Caribbean" skull and crossbones logo at bottom. Set was issued in 2000, w/a total of 100 sets being issued (plus 10 artist proofs). Set features prints of watercolor images created by Davis in 1962-1966 for the beloved Disneyland attraction. Davis, one of Disney's Nine Old Men was a legendary animator involved w/such projects as "Bambi, Alice In Wonderland" and attractions like "The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise" and of course, "Pirates Of The Caribbean." Set includes lithographs titled - "The Auctioneer, Bombarding The Fort, Burying Treasure, Talking Jolly Roger, Pirate Ship, Black Bart" and "The Tavern." Set is Mint as issued and comes w/sheet detailing the importance of Davis to Disney as well as matching "32/100" edition number COA and white cotton museum gloves. Chest has some aging to "Marc Davis" engraved brass signature plaque but is o/w Exc.
