Item Description
Large 6" dia. button features bw caricature illustration of The Beatles by David Levine, which first appeared in the March 25, 1965 issue of the "New York Review Of Books." Levine has depicted The Beatles as actual beetles, w/each Beatle's face in place as they hold/play their instruments. Rim curl text reads "The Beatles 'By David Levine ©1963-64-65-66 New York Review'." Bottom center rim has slight dent and a .25x.75" area of faint staining as well as a few scattered gray dots around edges. Reverse cardboard easel back has been used, w/some small tears, negating easel function. Fine. Rare and the first we've been able to offer in our 47 years.
