Item Description
17" long painted pressed steel truck No. 950-6 w/quilted aluminum running boards, separate aluminum ladder, rubber hoses w/threaded ends and a 2-5/8" tall die-cast metal hydrant w/threads so truck could be hooked up to faucet/hose and spooled rubber hoses could actually squirt water. Tonka Toys Inc. First version from 1956. Each side of hood has "T.F.D." (Tonka Fire Department) decal and doors have "No. 5" decals. Additional decals include gauges by hose hook-ups and accents at rear. Truck bed shows lt. wear/aging and decals are aged but complete. All rubber remains pliable though aged. Hose connector on side of truck has some oxidation to tip. VF. Hydrant shows typical heavy paint wear. Comes in original illustrated cardboard box. Box is lightly aged but o/w VF/Exc. Comes w/original illustrated Tonka catalog. Old store stock.
