Item Description
8.25x12.5x1" deep box w/illustrated lid shows boy using picture gun to project film on "Theatre" screen as friends watch. Stephens Products Co. ©Wm. Boyd, c.1950. Box has die-cut insert which includes filmstrip art images of Hopalong Cassidy and holds 6" long cast metal "Auto-Magic" picture gun w/his name and image. Gun is hinged for access to battery chamber and to replace films. When trigger is pulled, filmstrip advances and light shines. Light and trigger work but batteries are not included. Pair of 4.25" long illustrated film boxes are included. Boxes each contain three film strip loops and one is in the gun for a total of seven which is a complete set. Lid has moderate color rubs around edges/corners but remains free of corner splits though one side panel has 1" tear. Fine overall. Insert has tears around area which holds gun and is slightly concave. VG/Fine. Complete w/8x32" folded cardboard apron to be used as sides for picture theater. Nicely designed set.
