Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains toy that measures 7.5" tall overall w/4.25" tall celluloid Mickey Mouse figure attached to the wheeled tin base w/built-in key. "Made In Japan" as marked on Mickey's back along w/small copyright symbol. Distributed by Geo. Borgfeldt Corp. 1930s. Works and travels in a circle as the celluloid parasol spins. Umbrella shaft is correct but fits loosely on post coming out of Mickey's head. Post has had tape added to hold top at correct level. Missing three hanging celluloid ball accents, while most remaining have tiny indents. Toy shows lt. dust soiling. Fine. Box is complete w/all inner flaps and features illustration of toy on each side and has some scattered handling wear w/slight concave warping of main panels and edge wear. Color remains bright and box is clean. Fine/VF. Box is scarce. From the Maurice Sendak Collection and comes with COA.
