Item Description
Pair of matching 7.5" plates with flared outer edge accented in gold with vast majority intact. Under side of each has pictorial buffalo trademark and text "By Permission Of The Copyright/Edw. Stern & Co. Inc. 1906/Buffalo Pottery." Each side has light tanning, but only a few scattered slightly darker circular spots showing more on the first then the second. First reads "Teddy-B Banged The Desk And Said That He/Would Run The School That Day And See." Second reads "We're Here To Learn The Farmer's Trade;/To Swing A Flail Or To Use A Spade." The slight age tone is typical for these scare plates, but importantly each has glossy glaze, no chips, no cracks.
