Item Description
16.75" tall double-sided stuffed oilcloth doll depicts "Little Orphan Annie By Harold Gray" as noted by text on fabric belt of fabric dress doll is wearing. Separate arms and legs, arms moving at shoulders. c. late 1920s. Oilcloth has lt. age toning and .75" split to tip of one foot and wear to other foot tip but is o/w Fine. Scarce, especially in this condition. Comes w/9.25x12.25" song folio w/large "Little Orphan Annie" name and illustration of her playing piano while Sandy holds sheet music and sings. Wyrick Music Publishers, ©1925 Ambrose Wyrick. Cover also features inset photo of Little Orphan Annie creator Harold Gray. Scattered aging w/tape repairs to small tears at bottom of pages and along spine. VG overall, but front still displays nicely. Nice early pair.
